Taking notes of RPG sessions

For the DM making notes of the session is an important part of the process....!

It occurred to me that there are several technologies that could help with the RPG gaming session process.....

The process in AI transcription ie speech to text where the speaker is identified and noted against what they said is called diarization and although it cant be done with either whisper ai or speech to text in Audacities OpenVINO whisper AI plugin it can be achieved with whisperx which is available from https://github.com/m-bain/whisperX/tree/main

Tested and working with a short conversation between 2 people annotated and diarized using a desktop USB microphone...!

The microphone is omnidirectional, so it was able to pick up conversations in the room and the built in noise filtering removed background noise that was non verbal!
